Seasons Greetings!

Dave and I, along with our wonderful kids Leo and Jaymee and their mums Clare and Karen, wish all of you everything you wish for yourself at this special time. We’re just about to sit down to a fantastic Christmas meal prepared (mainly) by Clare, and will give thanks as usual for the loving environment in which we, four gay parents and two pretty certainly straight children, find ourselves.

Our area, Tennessee and southern USA generally, does seem to have some issues over the gay minority community, and we just hope for understanding and tolerance. I found the following exchange from a chatroom posted on another website recently, and thought that I would share:

No comment needed, except perhaps to ask everyone, of whatever persuation, to pause for thought and to give everyone their own space and to be understanding of other points of view – and needs.

Skinny dipping in the Clinch River tomorrow! A December 26 tradition which originates with the High School swim team. Whooo-hooo!

Thanks to all our readers for sharing 110 posts so far (good grief!), and may you all have a peaceful Christmas night, wherever you are.

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
