Light Fantastic

This morning, a small celebration of the combination of brilliant lighting design on the part of a photographer highlighting fit young men who seem to be into the same kind of sporting interests as we are.

Here, the photographer has made brilliant use of an overhead halogen bulb to ‘catch’ the reflection on the bath water. A wonderful conception. Next, use of backlighting to create an almost ethereal quality, with an additional side light catching his hair and body ‘dimples’:

Now, another side-lighting effect catches this guy’s chest development beautifully:

..whilst in this fighting stance, it is much more subtle, but again beautiful:

Try another colour combination?

Three more for luck:That picture doesn’t get in here on the basis of the guy’s (lack of) addition to circuit training, but for being rather wonderfully weird: the projected image itself seems to be a kind of double exposure, if you think about it.

Many thanks to the skilled professional photographers who make such images available for us to enjoy. As well as being inspirational to fitness freaks like us, they are surely inspirational to amateur photographers too, who contribute so much.

  4. Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess
I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for first-time blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.

I think it got spammed by WordPress. I’ve not been diligent in checking spam until recently. This one was ‘spammed’ too, perhaps because it appears to be selling dental insurance according to your url??

This is my first-time blog. I just chose a format and went for it, feet first, learning as I go along. It became addictive. of course, I do have an ulterior motive which I’ve been open about – my publisher wants me to sell books (as if I didn’t!). So that was the motivation: it’s a mix of prequel, sequel and episodes from the books, mixed with real-time experiences.

Tell us what your blog is and we’ll give it a look!

  5. woh I your posts , saved to favorites ! .

  6. I am exploring the Internet as I never have before. I have more time since I reitred. There is quite a rich diversity of information in blogs so I am getting involved and commenting. Your blog is not like most of the blogs that I read on the Internet, and I like the style of what you are presenting here. I have started my own blog and website. I put my site and email in the allocated spaces. It seems to be customary to include these so I hope that its ok with you. TheVeryBest2You 13 10
