Group Therapy: 100,000 Hits!

At 2pm today (Tuesday) Tennessee time (7pm UK) this site clocked up 100,000 hits. That’s amazing. You guys all deserve a round of applause. For putting up with me wittering on about acrobatics. And about books. But if even one click in one thousand persuaded someone to buy one, well now! See sticky post… Dave and I could get to eat!

Its obvious from the site statistics that you are enjoying downloading the pictures, at any rate, so I’ll definitely keep these popular themes going.

Anyway, posting here is a kind of group therapy. We’ve always survived on encouragement from our group, be it about performing and training, or just about being gay. And now we have new friends who either follow this blog, or just crash into head on from time to time. Thanks to your all for your visits, and please come back again and again.

So, a few pictures which ilustrate the advantages of working in groups, inspiring each other to work harder and to achieve that little bit more.

It might be running:

…or an entertaining way of doing press-ups (with an encouraging crowd of supporters):

Maybe do the press-ups indoors as a group (note the VERY sweaty guy with his back to the camera is kneeling down: wonder how many he’s done already?):

Of course, after all the hard work, a different type of group therapy is welcome:

Whatever kind of group turns you on, enjoy!

So, thanks to you all (and keep visiting): thanks to all our fitness enthusiast mates, and above all thanks to Dave.

Oh, and since this post is a kind of celebration, and as Dave and I are Brits to the core, we ought to say ‘Hi’ to Her Majesty the Queen on her 60th year of ‘reigning over us’: the UK has kind of been taken over this past weekend by street parties, a pop concert at Buck House organised by Gary Barlow, and all sorts of other stuff in celebration. Not much to see of ‘Her Maj”s influence in Oak Ridge, though. ‘Cept, me, Dave and his brother Pete, of course. And his dad. Oh well.

As it is a special occasion, I’ve gonna post something now just for Dave, as a reminder of all those cats he posted when he took this blog over for a short while. Never again, mate!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
