The Perfect Day (1) 6am…

Following our recent mini-tour and with the majority of our Tuan Jie group still together for a few more days, we’ve been ‘chillin’ – behaving more like we did ten years ago when we were all discovering our gay selves and our love…

PICTURE DELETED AT THE SUBJECT’S REQUEST.

FOUND THIS ONE OF TWO GUYS HAPPILY ASLEEP IN BED ON THE NET… ONE OF THE GUYS NOW PREFERS IT IS NOT DISTRIBUTED FURTHER SO OF COURSE I HAVE REMOVED IT.

IT IS NEVER OUR INTENTION TO CAUSE OFFENCE OR TO COMPROMISE ANYONE AND I AM HAPPY TO EDIT THIS POST ACCORDINGLY

6am. The sunlight falling across my face wakes me. Dave, my love, my lover, my best friend, lies alongside me and I move my face close to his armpit to take in that wonderful erotic, exotic, scent of maleness that is so quintessentially HIM. My free arm is already draped over his back and my hand moves to caress those powerful pecs and shoulder muscles that come with years of dedicated acrobatic and strength training, which is what we are all about. He wakes and turns to give me a sloppy kiss and nibbles my ear…

…and, before long, I have turned to get my lips around his delicious toes, and he mine. Weird, maybe…

We are together in the king-size bed which I brought to Dave’s father’s house ten years ago when my parents returned to the UK and I became a stateside ‘orphan’. Zach and his partner Gary, both injured in our previous misadventures but thankfully restored to us, largely through their personal dedication to fitness, are sharing the other side of the bed and roll across to join us. We swore to, and have rigorously kept, an agreement to have no gay ‘adventure’ outside our closed circle, which means that we can share our love within Tuan Jie in the confidence that no-one has any risk of sexually-transmitted disease. And so we all play awhile:

We’ve planned a rigorous session of stretching and weights in the training cabin at the top of the yard this morning, so around 6.30am we pull on some shorts and head down to kitchen for some juice, stopping on the way to arouse Ethan and Jack who have stopped over in the spare bedroom that used to Dave’s before I came on the scene. They’re Tuan Jie too, of course, so they can join in our fun also – another few minutes lost there…

Dave’s father is just leaving for his work at the lab. He’s seen it all before.

Outside the temperature is already climbing, and we run and tumble across the grass to the cabin at the back of the yard. This cabin is so special to us, offering a private space for training – and, erm, other stuff! – which includes a totally secluded outdoors area at the back where we can soak up the sun and work or play at the same time.

The shorts come off again – we’ve trained together naked for years because (i) we can, and (ii) it feels good. We’re all gay boys, remember. Dave’s brother Pete and his partner Ivo (yes, they are, too!) are just finishing their workout because they both have sensible jobs to go to and so started earlier.

We assist each other with our stretching:

…and then get stuck into some weights:

Of course, we’re a vain lot, always checking up on each other’s progress:

After an hour of intense weights, we are seriously sweaty: and the wrestling has yet to start…

to be continued

If this is the sort of day that appeals to you, you’ll find lots more in these two modest offerings:

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
