The Boys are ‘In’!

Chad, owner of our most excellent private gym, must be mellowing in his old age! After finding out about our teenage bodybuilding find, Billy, who works out with his younger brother Chris and my son Leo in our modest training cabin facilities, he questioned the rest of the members about letting the boys in, under supervision and without any ‘initiation’, in certain hours Mondays to Fridays, to take advantage of all the equipment. And, bless them, they agreed. Between 4pm and 7pm weekdays (ie after school) they can go in and use the weight equipment provided that either one of us or Billy’s father is there to supervise. Those hours would be difficult for him with work, so I guess it’s down to us, especially Zach and Gary when their own coaching and working shifts allow, because they actually live in the place in a penthouse apartment. But definitely Dave and I whenever we can.

No nudity from anyone during those hours – reluctantly accepted by some but commonsense, given the predominantly gay clientele and what they enjoy doing later in the day! – although as with all members, Chad expects all of ‘his’ boys to want to show off their muscles and to see them working, so it will be ‘no tops’ like the rest of us. None of this, though! – however good it feels to pit yourself against the weights totally unhibited by clothes…

…whereas this will do nicely:

All set for the T-bar lift… great for the back muscles. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of challenges, both mutual…

…and personal (“Have I gained anything since yesterday?“)…

Not giving anything away here about our actual Man.Power setup, but our place looks very like that one with its long rows of assorted machines.

Whilst Billy (and maybe Chris) will focus on building their bodies, son Leo knows he needs to get strong but stay flexible and nimble for his acrobatics…

He knows what he has to do (and indeed will show off in any available space at any time, especially if girls are present!).

They’re welcome to wrestle and try out martial arts too, so long as it is within the permitted hours…

Even Jaymee is welcome if she wants to go in with Leo and do some acro training in front of a new bunch of critics.

So huge thanks to Chad and the rest of the guys for letting this happen, and every good wish to Billy as he starts to shape up against some of our tyro bodybuilders. The biceps challenge is undoubtedly ‘on’ now for all of us…

If you’re new to these posts, some of the references in the above may not make 100% sense – like, what the heck is this special club Man.Power into which you can only be invited, who are we and what do we do (acrobatics and gymnastics mainly): the perfect guide to our life and times awaits you here:

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
