Water on the Brain…

…and, in Ellie’s case, Sex…

Two things about water. In a remote Welsh farmhouse, where we are now, the water is collected up the hill in a big concrete tank which is leaking. After the long heatwave here, the inflow is becoming perilously slow. Thankfully, as I write, it is actually raining. boys-in-the-rainThe kids (seven here in total) are all out in it – boys shirtless, girls in swimsuits or bikinis, all barefoot – having a whale of a time with sort of Red Indian hide and seek game. Colin and ‘Tash arrived with their two today to complete the numbers and ‘Tash is in charge of cooking. So here we are, seven kids, two straight couples I’ve known since schooldays, plus one gay couple – Dave and I. And Ellie, Roger’s wife, has plans…

Anyway, we need a good drop of rain to top up the rivers a bit, for swimming, as well as the water table for our water supply!

Meanwhile, after something odd happening to my ears two weeks ago, I still sound to myself as if I am under water, and I have definitely lost some hearing, with strange fluids gurging around behind my ear drum which won’t clear. So it’s off to the good old UK NHS doc on Monday morning to see what can be done. More water on the brain. Oh well. Any ear specialists out there, make a comment or suggestion please! It was so bad on the first day that Dave actually had to shout in my ear for me to hear anything at all. At least it improved a lot over that, but it won’t go away.

Special OfferSo, the ‘Dream’ which I’ve written about has its down sides! Let me write in the links, and then I’ll drop in a few pictures for those visitors who come only for that…

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

OK then, our shared obsession as gay acrobats is… well muscled athletic guys! Something else I always have ‘on my brain’…

The kids get the rooms in the house tonight because Ellie has plans. In The Power of Love’ I relate how, when these two couples were still boyfriend and girlfriend, they would regularly share evenings which ended up with them enjoying sex (with their own partner!) but in the same room. Other couples were sometimes involved and, once, on a visit to Oxford UK, it was Dave and I. They were anxious to see if we really did what they thought gay boys did. OK, we obliged. This also extended to the two girls demanding that we wrestle their boys naked (we did)  – in oil (we did) – and then they decided to join in…

OK, so Ellie has plans. Tonight, kids safely asleep, oil wrestling in the barn, six participants in assorted combos, no clothes permitted, followed by – erm, well, three couples doing what they love to do, I guess. Ellie likes it rough – real clawing, biting, serious aggro – Colin and ‘Tash take it quietly and sweetly – Dave and I, well, every which way. Maybe I’ll warm him up on our little bed of broken glass tonight, first… Not exactly an orgy, because partners are not shared. But we’re in for a strenuous night. If only I could hear properly what’s going on…

And, afterwards, three couples bunking out in the barn/gym/sheep shed/whatever we call it… and Dave will be ‘all mine’…

Hopefully not too many wounds to lick after enduring Ellie’s wrestling style…

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
