The Morning After…

Ellie’s plans for our adult late evening entertainment here at Cefn Derwen on Saturday night went entirely as she expected!… and three happy couples at the end.. need I say more? Well, I’m not going to!

Woken on Sunday morning by Colin tweaking my nose with his toes whilst Roger stamped his bare foot on my stomach. With friends like these…. Blearily, Dave and I peered out of our temporary bunk in our barn gym to see local lads Neil and Robbo already hard at work on the weights, pushing each other forward.

Wish we had that much stuff…!

‘Girls are sorting out breakfast for the kids and Neil’s girlfriend is with them. We’ve got half an hour to ourselves in here to get these weak muscles of yours back in trim…’

Thanks for nothing, Colin! But don’t we all want this?

And this?

Well, it’s shorts on this morning: not sure who else might show up given the increasing ‘clientel’ that Neil has found for us from amongst his sporty and farming mates.

cocky and obsessed

Indeed. And the dedicated will always find a space – somewhere – to do what they need to do:

garage dude

It was still plenty warm enough on Sunday for us all to have a day at the beach in between occasional showers:

dont drop him

…before ‘Tash, Colin and Roger left for Oxford (work!) leaving Ellie with her car on the scene to help with the four additional kids. Combined with our truck, we just about have enough seats to move the party around!

Not that there isn’t plenty to do here, or right nearby…

Ellie’s extrovert ‘games’ seem only to come to the fore when Roger is with her, and she’ll be taking her job of looking after the four younger ones seriously until next weekend when their other parents return. Colin and ‘Tash will then be staying on with their two for a few extra days, after which Dave’s mum (and doting granny of Jaymee) will be the next to arrive.

Meanwhile, Ellie promises to leave us – ‘you naughty gay boys’ – alone at night to do our own thing… like read in bed…

Waterstone's Piccadilly 2

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

Actually, we DO read in bed occasionally, and will probably be supporting a few other like-minded authors whilst we have more time to ourselves… so I feel obligated (yet again) to recommend my own modest efforts to your attention… Kindle-friendly editions are available too. Of course, there are other pleasures when we know we shall be undisturbed…

…leading to those happy ‘morning after’s’…

Sleep tight!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
