“Your First Million Words are Worthless…”

…so says best-selling author Iain Banks.

Waterstone's Piccadilly 2Oh heck! My efforts to date work out at only around 850,000 covering the three books of ‘Living the Dream’, so it seems I’m stuffed. Better get back to the laptop and write something better….

..actually, I am working on something else, based around an imaginary version of the strange Native American Guy ‘Three Rivers’ (as I call him) who crossed our paths a while back. But after several months I have staggered only as far as the middle of Chapter 2, pleading too little time, having fun in the summer hols, or whatever. So that one will have to wait – it should get me up to the milliion words, though, and then we’ll have to see!

Nowhere near a million pictures posted here either, illustrating our favourite themes of fit young guys, gay love, and our fave sports of acrobatics/gymnastics/circus performance. So let’s add a few more for today:

(that’s the best use a basement can be put to, if you haven’t got one of these…)

Use what you have… any open space…

half lever

…or your home furnishings and fittings…

…I guess even a subway car would do if you don’t have anywhere else…

…share the power together…

…and do make sure you share your successes with us…

Webcams and ‘selfies’ are great, or get a mate to do a classy job for you, and pass on the results…

obvious gym rat

…and read that sign above the doorway there – ‘LOVE MUCH, LAUGH OFTEN’ – abve all, we need to enjoy our training and have a fulfilling time doing it.

A couple more well-built guys, then…

Feel free to send a few pics in for this blog, especially if they show off your own hard work! gymacrobat@gmail.com

Come to think of it, if ‘A picture is worth 1000 words’, then these blog pix added to the books probably do take me past the million mark… whe-hey! So the next book’ll be a best-seller!! And actually these first three weren’t all that bad…

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
