Making The Body Beautiful

There’s a class of people for whom image is everything. Both sexes. And in many cases, you find them in gyms, chucking a few weights around and posing in front of the mirrors.

Guys don’t have to be gay to want a great body.

Why wouldn’t you want to be the one that looks the best, especially if you are paying out for an expensive gym subscription. Some like to show off a bit:

So you get your mates to take a few photos. Or take them yourself! And then share them!

Well, for some of us, that gym thing takes over our lives. I found Dave because of our mutual love of gymnastics, and the ‘disease’ quickly spread, as noted here:

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

Falling into (gay) love. Hours spent crafting our bodies for strength and flexibility for acrobatics. It became our profession – touring with circuses, appearing on TV, joining in with a large group of similarly oriented and physically-possessed guys…

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Moving slowly in the end to teaching others, getting in a bit of trouble along the way… a big bit, unfortunately, but all’s well that ends well…

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

We’re fortunate enough to be a part of several gyms. A private one in which mutual admiration of muscle development is positively encouraged;

lifters kiss

…and a public one where we can pass on our skills to new generations of potential gymnasts and acrobats…

We all of love to admire the male form – hence our love of pictures like this one:

…where professional photographers can make the best out of what you have – and what he has is pretty impressive!

The best thing you can have in any gym,  however limited the facilities, is a mate or two to encourage you:

Working out keeps you feeling good as well as looking good:

Work out hard enough, and you can get here:

oh yes!

Enjoying the pictures posted here and elsewhere but never been in a gym in years, and feeling unfit? Well, go on, give it a try! It’s never too late… no-one in any gym will turn you away: they are there to make you stronger and fitter!

If you are seriously weird (like us) you can find ways of combining your training with other pursuits – in this case it’s acrobatics…

And if you are gay, like those two, you’ve always got your love to keep you warm… mutual love and respect doesn’t just have to be in twos…

Sweet, huh? There’s no shame in being gay and enjoying the company – and the touch – of like-minded friends.

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
