‘In Sickness and in Health…’

Looking back at the previous post, it seems a little bit incoherent. Not too surprising: straight after finishing it I went back to bed (10am!) and stayed there for 24 hours nursing a wheezing chest, stuffed head, alternating boiling and freezing, and muscle pain all over. This ‘dreaded lurgey’ came to us from the Junior High, through Jaymee; Clare went down with it next although Jaymee’s mum Karen and my son Leo avoided the worst: I was next for the full dose, and Dave now has it to a lesser extent…

‘Thanks, guys!’ I always said that schools were a bad idea. We’ve tried to isolate ourselves from the rest of our friends, the guys at Chad’s gym and everyone at the gymnastics centre – don’t want to be held in any way responsible for a plague spreading further out over Tennessee and Kentucky! At least we don’t have a show for almost two weeks, but I haven’t trained for six days now and that’s BAD when you’re doing it for a living… and I still feel too weak to even care… ouch. And we must all get rid of it completely before we head for the UK for Christmas in just over 2 weeks.

Cover1 ThumbCover2 ThumbCover 3 ThumbAnyway, that enough of our troubles. Just thought that I’d say…

…and just thought I’d add the usual reminder that books celebrating gay love, sport, circus and adventure could make good ‘stocking fillers for appropriate friends. E-books available also from Amazon and other outlets… your support much appreciated.

A comment came in today – ‘Where do you get all these photographs…’ – well, it isn’t too difficult, if you’re into looking at appropriate Yahoo groups and some other personal blogs for impressive pictures of fit young men. But the short answer is – keep coming here – it’s free! – and if you really enjoy the site then support us by buying a book or three! And now the filling in the sandwich that most readers are waiting for: the HEALTHY part of this post!

Now, choosing those has made me feel no-end better! In fact, we’ll celebrate with a few extras, to make up for lost time:

OK, enough. Don’t want anyone else breaking out in hot sweats… just want their hearts to quicken a little:

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
