Geez, It’s Hot…

Sleepy Cuties56

I don’t often wish for snow, but right now it is VERY hot here – they are speaking about ‘triple digit heat’ on the weather forecasts (which means 100F)… that hasn’t happened and it will probably cool down a bit after today, but it is quite hot enough to have us wishing for the ocean…

blue water

…or a pool! We don’t have a pool here, only the public one which is probably heaving with people. Every boy in the gym we teach in has his top off, which in Tennessee is pretty rare…

…and we, naturally, are shirtless whenever we can be… even now though you still get disapproving looks if you are out in the street that way. Sure is a conservative place here…

Oh well. It’s pretty sweaty indoors too, and rather exhausting doing our weights… the guys are looking as hot as ever, in both senses of the word…

…although outdoors in the shade is pretty ‘kewl’, if not ‘cool’:

There is enough of a tiny breeze to waft over you… and the humidity, thus far, is not too bad. Son Leo is furious having to be in school, but at least here they get out fairly early in the afternoons if there is no sport event after. Naturally, he’s round the back of our training cabin, naked, with his best mates, hosing each other down!

This is typical Tennessee summer heat, but its only the beginning of May, so it has been a bit unexpected.

More about Tennessee summer heat, and all the gay/gym/circus/adventure we once got up to, here:

For now, just some more ‘hot’ boys!

Here’s one ready for action!

Ah, the sea… if only…

…the surf…

…and an ice-cold can of coke in the hand when you’re in the sun…

Well, at least we can do that. And we roll the cold can across our foreheads, too, to stop our brains overheating!

Otherwise, we’re pretty much land-locked here, so it’ll be down to the Clinch River skinny dipping this evening, no doubt at all.

See you soon – if we don’t melt away!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
