In the Eye of the Beholder

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…

I am a gay male. I appreciate the male form, particularly those (like me) who put in the hard work necessary to keep in good shape.

We want to look the best:

…set ourselves challenges…

bicep check

…be seen to be the best…

(…and a little body oil makes a huge difference for a great shot!)

…we want to be the best…

power boi

Ripped, powerful bodies – that’s what I appreciate. And then, the things that you can do with them…

…and, if you are particularly acrobatically minded, and after a great deal of practice, maybe…

(by the way, that’s the largest file I ever uploaded, to preserve the high definition – the full-size file may take a while to download for you)

I agree, that one is a bit extreme, and really really tough on the lower guy – the top guy must keep most of his weight on the arm nearest the pole – OK, we’re acrobats too and that stuff always engages us – see for example Loving the Boy and the books which follow on…

But you may just prefer to admire the definition in ‘ordinary dudes’ – as we do also…

…fit, and fine by us…

…that ‘swimmer’ build is great, especially combined with ‘tanned’…

So! Put in the effort!

So! There!

There’s no better feeling than to be working out in the gym alongside like-minded guys – gay or straight! – and being inspired!

…and it’s the effort that’s important, not the quality of the equipment…

(a neat ‘top planche’)

Above all, enjoy what you do…

…and, if you are gay, and especially if both you and your partner are sharing the fitness regime, you’ll have so much more to enjoy!

That’s what I’ve called – somewhere else, in a series of three books – Living the Dream!

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
