Shirtless, Barefoot and Injecting!

Manga Tone! So that’s me, then… you could have given me a bit more muscle, though! Thanks to a reader in Japan for that.

I’m pleased to say, for anyone who might be interested, that things are going well and the blood-test results are spot on target.

A reader in UK, who knows our family circumstances well, having read all three books (thanks, Ian!!)

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

…sent me this:

My son Leo (and, indeed, Dave’s daughter Jaymee) lived with two mums most of the time: they spent a lot of time with their two dads, of course – and now they have all four of us, since the girls took over the house from Dave’s father. So now they each have their ‘real’ mum and dad, and a spare set as well. Kewl.

So thanks, Mathys… the lion is good (fighting spirit!!) but I’m not really sure what the rest of it represents. If I had been asked to devise a coat of arms with fighting spirit, I might perhaps have started here:

More our style, especially the bare chests! They too have a slightly Japanese ‘Manga’ look about them.

But thanks, everyone, for your thoughts and good wishes. ‘Keep off the bed of nails, Tone – if you got a puncture you’ll bleed to death!’ advises another correspondent. Up to a point, he’s right, since I have deliberately thinned blood right now, but it’s not THAT thin!

So, fitness is visibly returning, and I may even lift a few lighter weights later – upper body only – before going to shout at the gymnasts again. A few suitable pictures, then, to keep everyone’s eye on the ball:

Well, that lot makes me feel even better. Slowly, things are going to get back to normal… and, as yet another reader drew to my attention…

Indeed. Thanks, guys, and see you again soon!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...

  1. Funny how friendships sometimes starts up with arguments or debates. Ours turned out good and I’m happy about. I like young un’s body building athletics especially wrestling. Thanks ‘Tone.
