There you go – something to cool us off in the hot (US and UK anyway) summer. A team of five in the world snow-swimming championships! Which obviously take place at night as well…

Our wonderful gay Tuan Jie association, whereby ten like-minded lads in five devoted couples share the love safely (because we can – we never share it outside the ‘coven’) is presently divided into two teams of five. Five (including my Dave) on the circus tour and five here in Oak Ridge (Leon and Dane came down for a few days from Lexington KY to cheer me up following my leg mishap). The away team report success in both the performances (along with the girls and kids) in the circus shows and in their separate ‘recreational’ activities: we (ahem) can report the same. It is too hot right now to have bedclothes, so five guys naked alongside each other on a king-size bed obviously emerge from their slumbers to a feast of delicacies. And that, I might say, was only the beginning. Given that we have sunbathed, wrestled, weight trained, and skinny dipped for pretty much three days solid – and all these activities naked and just a pair of shorts donned to move around in public between venues – you can probably imagine that I am, indeed, more cheerful than I was! And now a trip to Korea to look forward to starting on Saturday… Wow.

Enough of this self indulgence. Suffice to say that all activities improve when shared:

And we tried this exercise (except I couldn’t do the sit-ups bit because of my bad leg) – great for us gay guys to feel that ‘skin-on-skin’ – do give it a go next time you are in the gym:

Of course, it doesn’t have to be five (or more) – a lesser number of companions still makes for a great time:

Two’s company!

Just getting it together:

Did I say ‘naked’?

…and especially in the shower…

All ten of us are NOT ‘growing older gracefully’ despite hitting the thirties… we’re still doing all this stuff (like kids, really). You can read all about how we got together (discovering our gayness, our love of acrobatics, and our adventures) – HERE:

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
