Somewhere, Over the Rainbow…

…skies are blue…

…but that’s not quite what I meant! 751 posts in, and I’ve just realised for the first time that when followers receive posts via e-mail they will usually come on a white background and not the grey background supplied by WordPress on the blog ‘theme’ I chose to use. This means that when I use a white type, to stand out on the blog setting, it can come out ‘blank’ when the post is received by e-mail.

Way over a million hits, and no-one said anything until the last few days. But, until then, I had been using this default colour, a lighter grey which shows up both ways. Then I changed to this pink, which looks great on the blog site but must be more difficult to read on a white background, and didn’t understand why one or two complained.

There are ways to change mail background settings of course, but why should anyone do that just to receive these posts?

So we’re going back to the default, except for OCCASIONAL EMPHASIS!

Or the secret messages, for viewers in COLOUR only!!

More important things to think about – upcoming circus stint mainly. A few new things to try…

…and the individual balance…

coffee table use

(looks like good use being made of a coffee table by a very muscular guy)

…keeping up with the strength training…

…and the flexibility!

unusual stretch

There must be easier ways to earn a living! Still, it keeps us off the streets, and possibly better ‘behaved’ than we were when all this started…

Loving the Boy: ISBN 978-1-907732-30-0

The Power of Love: ISBN 978-1-907732-41-6

Against All Odds: ISBN 978-1-908645-35-7

Perhaps if we ever find the end of our ‘rainbow’, there’ll be that pot of gold waiting for us. And, in the meantime, we do rather enjoy what we’re doing! It’s just the commitment to repetitive shows nightly or sometimes twice nightly, and ‘camping’ out of a rucksack while we do it, albeit in our own converted bus.

Stop whinging, Tone.

Cheer up, dude – only another 100 sit-ups to do…

And then maybe 50 of these…

A few more pictures of the excellent results of all that training, just to complete the post.

And no mention of Pride, or the ‘Rainbow Nation’… I feel that I should have worked those somehow into a post entitled ‘Rainbows’ – but I just can’t be bothered today!!

shoulder power

Is that a smug look? Deserves to be…!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...
