Today’s Gallery Theme: ‘Training for Balance’
Just love that picture! The boy is so happy that he can hold that handstand on the rings… and not a hair out of place…!
Yes. No sooner are we all back from our weekend adventures – we got back home around 5am Monday with Leo and Chris wide away and demanding to go to Chad’s for some training before school. And Dave and I totally knackered and just wanting to fall into bed (alongside Zach and Gary would have been good, since they live on the gym site). You can see why we ‘oldies’ are fed up with life on the road even after one weekend, whilst the next generation can’t get enough! But we insisted that Chet drive us home after dropping Zach and Gary off, and the boys went across to our own training cabin instead.
The realisation has dawned upon us that, in just ten days, we have our first ‘summer camp’ week and we’ll all – girls (young and old) included – be ‘at it’ again. A lot of training to do first, and thinking out a teaching plan to involve the youngsters. It is effectively an outdoor (mainly) circus-skills camp, and we shall have to be well organised with everyone knowing what they are doing (or meant to do), including the kids. And, of course, we shall be called upon to do some performances which will all have to be different. So a great deal to do, to be fitted in around our usual coaching and whatnot.
Looking back on what we used to manage to fit in when we were their age, I marvel we survived! You can find out more here;
Anyways, let’s have some more ‘balance’ pictures!
(A great way to train – the true meaning of ‘gymnastics’, the sun on your back, breeze on your body… let’s have another…)
(Whereas, that is an odd place to train… but semi-derelict buildings seem to be favoured by photographers for some reason.)
