Goodness, we thought that we were used to humidity and high temperature after living in Tennessee! Not so! Great boat trip (dining) last evening from The Bund, for those that know what/where that is! Today, hiding out in any place we could find with aircon. There is a ‘circus centre’ station on Metro line 1 and we’re going to see if we can get ourselves into that before we leave (but absolutely NOT performing!!) – just to pick up a few tips before old age creeps up on us.
Meanwhile, back on the blog which seems still to be accessible despite the Chinese Great Firewall. I hope you censors are reading this and know that most people get around you guys using VPN in some way according to local students (but we can’t be bothered to play around with only two days left)… and we hope that you will enjoy the pictures sufficiently not to delete them as they head for WordPress and then onwards to Fac***** and Tum***!

As I type this the humidity is getting so ridiculous at our riverside location that the screen on my laptop is starting to mist over, and before long the keys will probably short circuit. So here’s another more appropriate way to get all sweaty…

And, finally, Dave currently has his nose in a book. Not one of mine, of course, but rather a guide book. However, reading is good and, as an author of four so far, I should encourage him. And you, dear readers, of course, from whom I need a few pounds/euros/dollars to pay for the next laptop to keep this up!

And the second thing: I am thinking of going back to posting the pics with the blogs rather than on separate pages, as those special pages are getting rather unwieldy to load and to comment on for those with slow connections. OR, I could start separate additional pages for more specialised pictures – one each for gymnastics, acrobatics, wrestling, weights etc… what do you think? Whichever way the vote goes, the load of pictures here is up to 98% of the limit now and there is going to be a severe cull of oldies from early blog posts when we return home to base. So if there is anything you want to copy, go through from Day 1 and do it now!
