Performers and Other Updates

Speaking as a performer who is out of the show with a sprained finger and swollen hand after a mis-timed catch (ouch!), I am using my down time to update some of the other pages:

Ten new handstand images at Handstand Central Gallery 1

Ten new loving (gay) couples at Caring and Sharing

Ten new images of guys enjoying the feel of air against skin, in the gym and elsewhere: Gently Gay

Don’t forget to explore the older separate pages on this site two (index near the top of the page).

And now, as we’re doing acrobatic performance, here in this post are a load more artists at work or training, for you to enjoy: 25 pixs in total!

About tonycavanagh

Born Northampton UK; school Oxford UK and Oak Ridge Tennessee, where I met my wonderful partner Dave, also from UK. Oak Ridge is our main training base for acrobatics and circus stuff, but we also established a base in Wales (UK) to serve us when we are working in Europe. Our 'story', of finding gay love, learning the acrobatics trade and then of how we got shot at during our show (and worse was to follow - just to prove that the risks of being an acrobat are not always the most obvious ones!) are now available in my three books 'Loving the Boy', 'The Power of Love' and 'Against All Odds'. Links available on most blog posts. Actually, waiting for the imminent arrival of the first printed copies was far scarier than anything we do in performance. A fourth book - not about us but exploring the sadness of a gay Native American boy denied his true identity - is currently with an agent for evaluation. watch for 'Let The Future Find Me' in due time. And now to book five... another boy, another quest... seems its always boys...

I know you don’t like to post gifs, but it would be interesting to see how the first photo was acieved.

RE your B&W photo in Gently Gay with the fists raised: Check the date on the photo, if possible.. This might be German athletes during the 1920s or 30s. Hitler was supposed to be big on FKK. Alternately, it may be a U. S. Phys Ed class. I have read various nude swimming history sites that the precursors to America’s Health and Human Services Dept. required nude swimming for boys (and in some schools, nude PE) until, in some cases, the 1980s. Chicago Public Schools ended the practice in 1980. Morton East in Cicero, Illinois, where I attended, ended the practice in 1976. I entered high school in 1978. The original reason was the cholera epidemic. Wool swimsuits might harbor the virus. Naked inspections were required by Federal regulation, these sites state, in order to discover open sores or other evidence of communicable disease. Lifeguards and PE teachers were trained to perform the inspection. For a number of generations in America, the public sighting of a nude male of any age was not considered inappropriate, but the sight of a nude lady would have been a shocker. There ya go, I guess.
